Advanced Decision Science Methods Seminar Series for Doctoral Students
The advanced decision science methods seminar series is designed as a forum for more advanced instruction in methods as well as an opportunity to review and discuss material learned in the didactic curriculum in a less formal setting. The goal of the seminar series is to provide students a deeper understanding of some of the cutting-edge topics in decision science methods and the opportunity to discuss and synthesize topics with faculty, graduates and visiting scholars. Planned as a monthly series throughout the academic year, it includes methods and problem solving review sessions as well as invited speakers including faculty in decision science, graduates of the program, and outside experts in related areas. These sessions will generally be held on Wednesdays from 3:30-5:30pm. We intend to have topics cycle on a rotating basis over two years, and to have students continually attend until they graduate.   This seminar is geared towards doctoral students in their second year and above, and will be a requirement beginning in academic year 2008-09.
